I have been having some memory problems with the XDK (like "Stack overflow") and I would like to know if there is an option to order custom XDKs with different specifications like for example flash memory.
may I ask what ion particular leads to the overflow problems? The MCU is equipped wit 1MB of flash, which is above average for this performance class.
If you want to store sensor data, I recommend not using the internal flash, since this is not suitable for unlimited read/write cycles. However, the XDK has the ability to store data on the SD card, which basically is an external flash memory.
First I'd like to welcome you to the XDK community.
To my knowledge, it is not possible to order custom versions of the XDK with specific hardware components. Every XDK on the market and in production has exactly the same hardware configuration.
As Mathias already mentioned, the flash memory of the XDK should be sufficient for nearly all use-cases that do not involve storing large amounts of data. On the other hand, if you do not store a large amount of data, the stack overflow may be an indication for incorrect memory management of your application. If that is the case, I would ask you to go more into detail about the stack overflow you receive, to find a solution for it.
Nonetheless, if it is just the need for more memory, then I recommend following Mathias' advice and use an SD card to store data.
Please tell me if this was helpful and do not hesitate to ask if you have further questions.
Kind regards, Franjo
