sd card question

I know that the capacity limit of micro sd card is up to 32gb.
However, when we used 8gb, we could not record data.
Are there any additional capacity limits or restrictions we do not know about?
I confirmed that the format of sd card is fat32.

Hello Jang,

the XDK should be able to read and write using 8GB SD Cards, and FAT32 is the correct format.

Have you successfully tried to use your application using an SD card with larger capacity?

Additionally, have you tried it out with the SdCardExample from the XDK-Workbench Welcome Screen?

Kind regards,
Alex

Hello Jang,

Thank you, for the information about the application you tried to run.

Please note, that the Data Logger demo requires explicit configuration over the logger. ini file, which needs to be placed on the SD card. Otherwise, the application will not run. If you did put the logger. ini file on the SD card, could you please post a log from your XDK-Workbench's console after you flashed and ran the Data Logger demo on the XDK?

As I asked before, I would like to know if you were able to use the Data Logger demo successfully using an SD card with larger capacity.

Additionally, could you please try out the SdCardExample from the Welcome-Screen of the XDK-Workbench, if all of the above did not work?

Please let me know if this was helpful and feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Kind regards,
Alex

I put the ini file, and I used the program that was normally running on the 32gb sd card.
But it was not on 8gb sd card.
I know all the parts you said and have already tested.

Hello Jang,

Thank you for the additional information.

However, could you go more into detail about what you mean about the program normally running on the SD card?

Are you referring to the .csv file, which is placed on the SD card by the Data Logger demo?

Kind regards,
Alex
