Does the current XDK include LWM2M on the sensor?
  • If yes, which version? And which parts are supported?
  • If no, is it possbile to flash the LWM2M protocol manually?

Hi Stefan,

the XDK-framework does not include LWM2M yet.
LWM2M is based on CoAP, http, or TSL which is supported by the XDK too.
It is possible to built an application that communicates with LWM2M, but you need to implement it manually with a external C library (see http://embien.com/blog/tag/lwm2m/ and https://github.com/embien/lwm2m_client )

LWM2M Client Implementation?

Hello stefferber,

in fact, XDK currently does not support LW-M2M. I expect, that within the next two releases of XDK, we will be releasing XDK with the latest verison of the Serval networking stack that will support LW-M2M. We are currently working on the integration and have successfully been able to communicate via LW-M2M with dTLS.

What exactly do you mean by the version and parts? Are you referring to the version of the OMA specification or to the underlying CoAP?

Borrowing stefferber's thread for LWM2M questions:

Hi Bastian,

Is there any roadmap that can be shared on the release of the LWM2M on XDK? What is the possible time that we can download LWM2M stack onto our XDK? Thanks!
