Drive Installation after BT pairing

Hi Community,

I just tried to use Bluetooth LE with the XDK but ran into some Problems.
I installed the DSM_demoSensorMonitor (I also tried the ADT_bleAccelData Project) and tried to pair the XDK with my Laptop afterwards. Windows told me, that the pairing was succesful but it tried to install some drivers which failed.
My Windows Device Manager is now looking for Drivers for "bluetooth peripheral device".
It might be a Problem that I am using a Asus USB BT-400 Bluetooth dongle because my Laptop doesn't support BT LE. Although I am pretty sure that the drivers for the dongle are successfully installed.

If anybody has an idea how to fix this I'd be extremly happy.

Florian

I just tried to pair my Smartphone with my Laptop and that worked just fine. After the pairing my Laptop started to fetch some drivers from somewhere, but I didn't get any errors.
So I guess the problem has something to do with the XDK. Did anybody try to connect to the XDK via Bluetooth LE yet?

Florian

As I just read, it seems that it is not possible to use BT LE using Windows 7  ( http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14401435/bluetooth-low-energy-api-for-windows-7-0) even if there is a dongle inserted that supports BT LE.
Maybe thats the root of my problem, but I am still a little confused, why I can see the XDK and do the pairing.

Hello Florian,

I tried use DSM_demoSensorMonitor and connect the XDK via Bluetooth LE with my iPhone 6. It worked fine.
There is no need to pair the XDK and iPhone. The BT-LE connection can be set up directly in the iOS-Application.

For Windows, however, at the moment there are only two ways to log DSM_demoSensorMonitor data (see Getting_Started.pdf).
You can either establish a WLAN-Connection or use the USB-Connector, which is working fine as well.

Regards,
Manuel
