Hello achim_kern,

I just successfully reproduced what you describe - I can confirm that I have the same behaviour on my end as well.
I also tried to encapsulate the SSID with double quotes (") and single quotes (') with the same result that no connection gets established between the XDK and the Wifi AP.

I haven't looked further into the source code of the sensor monitor yet, but it seems as the Sensor Monitor application stops and/or takes a space as a stop char and therefore isn't able to find the corresponding SSID.

I'll take a look at the source code again and open a ticket that this is possibly a bug so it can get fixed.

Regards,
Florian

P.s.: The error message "also i see connection failure - port 7500 required" is basically Java's way of saying that the XDK couldn't be found as the Java app tries to open port 7500 on the XDK to communicate which isn't open when the device is not connected.
