Hi everyone,

I've installed the XDK Workbench on Windows 10 and everthing works fine (I've tried the demo StreamSensorDataOverUSB).

Now I'm trying to do the same on Ubuntu 16.04 (same PC, same XDK device) but the XDK Workbench does not detect the device when I connect it to the USB port. Anyway the XDK device is in the list if I execute the commands "lsusb" and "usb-devices".

Have you any idea of what's wrong?

Elena

Hello Elena,

the XDK-Workbench first attempts to establish communication over a port with the XDK Device. For this, the application requires root privilege.

It should work if you start the application from a terminal, using the command
sudo XDK-Workbench
Please tell me if this was helpful, and do not hesitate to ask further questions.

Kind regards,
Alex

How does one set-up it to run as root by default? Currently I must find the folder that contains the executable file and

type in: sudo ./XDK-Workbench
