Hello,

I am trying to implement position estimation through the integration of accelererometer and gyroscope data, I need information to better process the data.

I am using the calibrated accelerometer (what sensor is that using ? BMI160 I guess but not sure) and the orientation API.
What is the algorithm used to compute the orientation ? With which sensors ? What calibration is done to the accelerameter ? How can I be sure it is done properly ?
I actually use the CalibratedAccel_getStatus(), but I see no effect (as described there : https://xdk.bosch-connectivity.com/community/-/message_boards/message/292643)

I have read the documentation, but it is a bit outdated, some function are now depreciated, should I still use them ? For instance how does the calibration work now ?

I hope someone can tell me more on this topic.

What calibration is done to the accelerameter ? How can I be sure it is done properly ?

* The BSX library which XDK is using handles the calibration of the sensors internally. Using callibration status is 3 then calibration is done properly if it is 0 then it is not done properly. 1 is callibration started.This is handled in BSX library

* Kalman filter is used for game rotation vector estimation and orientation is computed with that using Accel and gyro.

* Yeah you can still use the deprecated functions. Currently as mentioned the callibration is handled by BSX library and the algorithm handles the callibration.
